I am Fran - the owner, designer and maker of all things

'Designs By Fran'.

I decided to start my own small business when I was made redundant during maternity leave with my first son. I was working

for a packaging design company, after completing my degree in Graphic Communication (BA Hons), at Norwich University of Arts.

I used my redundancy pay to invest in a laser cutter. I had never used one before and it was a big gamble but I wanted to be a stay at home Mum and still remain in the industry I love. Two sons and a small business that I love down the line and I have never looked back.

I specialise in designing and making bespoke items using laser cutting and engraving. Most of my business comes from weddings and exhibiting stalls at events; but that doesn't mean to say that I don't love doing all of your lovely commissions and online orders. Every order I receive brings a smile to my face! Orders are processed by me alone; from start to finish. I aim for you to receive them within 1-2 weeks from the date the order is placed. If the wait time is likely to be longer I will contact you.
